Sustainable Electrochemistry is an interdisciplinary field composed of Sustainable ("green") Chemistry, Nanotechnology and Electrochemistry. The goal is efficient utilization of electric energy for chemical processes as well as the reverse process, efficient conversion of energy from chemical processes into electrical energy. In those processes, electro-catalysis plays a central role.
The Transfercenter Sustainable Electrochemistry (TSE) is a scientific entity of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology of Saarland University. It cooperates closely with KIST Europe Forschungsgesellschaft mbH. Correspondingly, the TSE has two locations, namely on Dudweiler Campus and in KIST Europe on Saarbrücken Campus of Saarland University.
